Originally known as Flash Comics, this series featured Barry Allen as the red-garbed speedster and Justice League member.
This series started in 1959 with issue 105 and Finished with issue 350 in 1985
Allen is the second person to take on the role of Flash, replacing Jay Garrick, the Flash of the Golden Age.
During the run of this series, Allen squared off against countless colorful villains, including Professor Zoom, Gorilla Grodd, and the Trickster. The series is also notable for the introduction of the hero, Elongated Man, as well as later witnessing EM’s marriage to Sue Dearborn.
The high points of the series were its races, particularly the Flash vs. Golden Age Flash and Flash vs. Superman races.
